Lutron’s Latest Innovations at CEDIA Expo 2024
Lutron’s Latest Innovations at CEDIA Expo 2024
At the CEDIA Expo 2024, Lutron introduced exciting expansions to its lighting and shading product lines.
These additions reflect Lutron’s ongoing commitment to integrating innovative technologies with sleek design and user-friendly control systems. If you’re in the smart home industry or considering enhancing your home with customizable lighting and shades, this year’s new product launches from Lutron are worth your attention.
Expanding the Lumaris Tape Light Family
Lutron has expanded its Lumaris tape light collection to include RGB + Tunable White tape, offering a broader range of lighting customization options. This expansion comes with a 5-channel controller, designed to work seamlessly with Lutron’s smart home systems, such as RadioRA 3 and HomeWorks QSX.
The new RGB + Tunable White tape offers flexibility with color and temperature. You can adjust the white light range between 1800K and 4000K, with a dimming capacity down to 0.1%. Additionally, the tape produces vibrant colors via RGB control, allowing homeowners to tailor their lighting ambiance to their preferences or specific room designs. Whether used for undercabinet lighting, in coves, or along vanities, this product brings a new level of customization to any space.
The new multi-channel controller simplifies the installation process with a compact design that fits easily into tight spaces. It supports up to 32.8 feet of tape and provides multiple control options—whether adjusting color automatically based on time of day, selecting preset scenes, or fine-tuning settings manually through the Lutron app. The added feature of Wiring Verification Mode helps ensure everything is set up correctly before final programming, streamlining the process.

Enhancements in Shading Solutions
Lutron also revealed a range of new features in its shading products, providing solutions that combine aesthetic appeal with advanced functionality.
Natural Light Optimization (NLO) for Roller Shades
One standout feature is Lutron’s Natural Light Optimization (NLO) for roller shades. This function allows the shades to adjust automatically based on the sun’s position throughout the day, utilizing data like a home’s latitude and longitude. Whether it’s minimizing glare, protecting your furnishings from UV damage, or maximizing natural light, NLO makes it easy to maintain optimal light levels indoors without constant manual adjustment.
NLO includes four pre-programmed templates that can be customized, reducing the time spent on configuration and ensuring a personalized setup tailored to each client’s preferences.
Recessed Drapery Tracks
Lutron’s new recessed drapery track system creates a minimalist look, making drapery tracks invisible to the naked eye. This product allows drapes to appear as if they are floating, adding a clean, contemporary feel to any room. It’s an ideal solution for modern homes or new constructions where sleek aesthetics are a priority.
Palladiom Shades in Aged Bronze
Finally, Lutron introduced an Aged Bronze finish for its Palladiom shade brackets. These brackets are crafted from solid brass, precision-machined, hand-brushed, and aged to create a refined, timeless look. The Aged Bronze option is available for both wired and wireless Palladiom shades, adding a new level of design flexibility for homeowners seeking a classic yet sophisticated look.

A Look Ahead
Lutron’s new products will be available soon, with most shading solutions expected in late 2024. For those in the market for advanced lighting and shading solutions, these new additions offer exciting opportunities to integrate smart technology with luxury design.
